  • Institute for Venture Design (IVD): Fellowship Program for Graduates 26th October, 2010

    Institute for Venture Design (IVD), in close collaboration with the Centre for Design Research at Stanford University is launching a Fellowship Programme geared towards cultivating a culture of risk taking, a mindset of unconventional behavior, and a passion for creativity. IVD is a subsidiary of the FATE Foundation, a Nigerian non profit organization focused on entrepreneurship as a tool against poverty and unemployment.

    The program is split into three stages, the first being six months Intensive Residential Training Program at IVD Facilities.

    Product, Venture and Investment Design (6 Months)

    Venture Incubation (6 – 12 Months)

    Venture Spin-out and Growth (1 Year plus)

    PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS

    The Institute for Venture Design has the vision to become the Hub of Innovation and Technological Development in Nigeria, and therefore we need applicants who will join in making this vision a reality.

    A background in engineering, IT, management, or applied arts is preferred, but all are welcomed to apply

    We seek energetic, entrepreneurial individuals, who are willing to collaborate and learn how to create solutions to real world problems and start new businesses.

    APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

    Generally we seek candidates with the following skills and attributes:

    1. B.Sc / HND preferably in science, engineering, social science, architecture or art.
    2. Minimum of 1 year post NYSC work experience in manufacturing, construction, food processing, consulting, banking, retail business or arts.
    3. Enjoys working with other people
    4. Passionate about problem solving
    5. Willing to commit minimum of 2 years into the program
